East Cost and Spain
These past couples of weeks we have done a lot of traveling. My boyfriend and I traveled back to the east coast to visit family and hit a couple of competitions. First stop was the Vermont Open. Taking the open back to the fun days. With a weekend competition full of events like, Rail Jam, Half Pipe, Big Air and Quarter Pipe, followed by a banked Slalom and after parties with live music. Steve Hayes and Stratton Mountain did a great job putting on this new event. In this competition I have a great time, with a win in the Rail Jam and Big Air, and a 4th place in the half pipe. This was a great start to the trip. I also got the meet the guys from Homewood Snowboards who hand made the board I did so great on, big thanks to Homewood Snowboards.
Next stop was Last Call the next day. One of my favorite competitions with their three zone competition of a Big Air, Rail Jam and Wall ride Quarter Pipe. This competition has been at Loon one of my homes for 13 years. This is a competition I have wanted to podium on for a long time, and this year I took the overall Win! It was so good to go back to where I spent lots of days riding and see old friends again. What a great day that was!
Next stop was our trip to Spain in Sierra Nevada, don’t get confused with the one is CA. this trip started in caus. With leaving in a snow storm in NH, to getting Jan his passport, to Paris screwing up our plane tickets and having to spend a night there. To finally getting to Spain and renting a fun Mini! Thank god my dad made me learn to drive on a standard. To our hotel being crazy and I can’t even go into that. To an amazing day with Lynn Neil and Jan riding this amazing resort with so much fun terrain. To the clouds coming in and we couldn’t not see anything and FIS having to cancel the Women’s Slope style competition. Then getting to sight see around Granada which was awesome, but we did get stuck in some Easter parade. However the friends that we did make there are awesome and I can’t wait to see them again and talk to them. They took such good care of us! To all the guys at BLOW! The trip would not have good things in it without you guys! Then we had an interesting flight home with me screwing up AM and PM such a blond. Luckily it was early instead of late lol. Then finely back on the east coast to relaxing.
Soon there will be pictures coming out from a photo shoot I did with Cannon Mountain. Which has a lot of great terrain and they really know how to build a good park. And then we get to go to Colorado for a photo shoot with Shred Ready which I’m really excited about going to! More to come about that!
