This summer was my first time at Mount Hood; I have been to other places in the summer like, Cero Catidral with SASS, and Folgafonna in Norway. Hood is a different place but amazing and beautiful. I was there for only a month, but a great month, where learned a lot, and made some new friends.
The drive started in Utah where I’ve been living, continuing across Idaho and Oregon, which took 12 hours! I realized how much I missed trees and the miles of dirt out here is not pretty. We stayed at this amazing house in Zig Zag. That was in the middle of the woods, with lots of places to explore. Oregon seemed like a fun state with lots of things to explore it. Hood is a crazy mountain so big out of the middle of nowhere, all the other mountains are small and quaint were hood is a big monster! Some day, I’ll need to climb it.
Riding there was a lot of fun, I rode public mostly, and sometimes we got to go to Windells or Mount Hood ski and snowboard camp. They all had great, fun features, where there were lots of opportunities to learn new tricks. Tricks I have wanted to try for a while and new once I haven’t thought about trying before, which I did. Hood was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back! And to start riding this winter.
